Jakarta: Bank Indonesia (BI) today decided to hold the BI 7-Day Reverse Repo Rate at 3.50 percent.
The central bank also maintained the Deposit Facility (DF) rates at 2.75 percent and Lending Facility (LF) rates at 4.25 percent.
“The decision is consistent with projected low inflation and efforts to maintain Rupiah exchange rate stability, while supporting the post-covid economic recovery,” said Bank Indonesia (BI) Governor Perry Warjiyo here on Thursday.
According to Perry, the decision was taken during a BI Board of Governors Meeting held in Jakarta on July 21-22.
For the record, the benchmark interest rate has been maintained at 3.5 percent for five times in a row since March 2021.
On February 2021, the central bank lowered its key interest rate to 3.5 percent from 3,75 percent.
