Jakarta: The Indonesian government today recorded 49,509 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country to 3,033,339.
From Wednesday noon until Thursday noon, the total number of recovered coronavirus patients in the country increased by 36,370 to 2,392,923.
In the past 24 hours, Indonesia’s official covid-19 death toll was up by 1,449 to 79,032/
Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian has signed Ministerial Instruction Number 22 of 2021 on Level 4 Community Activity Restrictions in the islands of Java and Bali.
“We have issued Instruction Number 22 of 2021. The instruction is effective from 21 to 25 July 2021. After that, there will be evaluation,” the Minister said in a live-streamed press conference on Wednesday, as quoted by the Cabinet Secretariat’s website.
Essentially, the provisions stated in the instruction are same as those of previous regulations, the Minister said.
